What happens on the day
Registration opens at 11.30am in Sully’s yard and every vehicle leaves together at 1pm, so it is worth arriving early if you are bringing a tractor. Lunch and refreshments are served for everyone taking part once the run reaches its endpoint, and an auction follows.
You do not need a vintage tractor to come along. A good part of the crowd turns up simply to watch the run leave the yard, which is free.
Where the money goes
The rally is a fundraiser for the Irish Cancer Society, which uses the money for advice, services, research and support for cancer patients and their families across Ireland. The organisers say the event has raised more than 640,000 euro over its 23 years to date.
